Dreaming of Dreamy Winter Coats

Did y'all think I had fallen off the face of the Earth? Well, I kind of feel like I did. The last three weeks have been filled with plenty of unwelcome illness -- all three of us have gotten sick and my version of it seems to have lingered the longest. I've had a few days in the middle of it where I felt decent enough to get some things done and I've mostly managed to keep our household from falling apart, but there have been a lot of nights of eating out / eating frozen pizza.

Lucky for me I have a fabulous husband who has picked up all my slack and taken care of Mags in the afternoons while I slept. Pretty sure I've clocked at least 14 hours of sleep a day this past week. Not fun times!

Today I rallied enough to get out of the house for a little bit and do some vintage hunting at my favorite nearby antique store. Josh and Maggie protested against spending too much time shopping, but I did find this gorgeous vintage mink-trimmed coat in slate blue wool. Swoon.

And then, while looking around on Etsy at other vintage coats to make sure I priced my coat fairly, I found all of these dreamy coats... and couldn't resist putting together a whole treasury of them. I WANT THEM ALL.

Especially this one. I mean, look at those SCALLOPS!

And this one. Mmm luxurious fur.

Are y'all craving any winter coats, now that the weather seems to have maybe turned a little colder? Though there's no guarantee of winter here in the South -- I remember the weather being a balmy 65 on our wedding day, January 7th!

  1. I adore that last one. Trenches are my fave. Speaking of fall/winter in the South, yesterday it was in the high 80s. Blah.
